Our Story

We’re a locally owned and family-operated hauling service based right here in Wooster, Ohio. Helpful Hauling started after years of running McAtee’s Sectionals & Furnishings, where we buy, clean, and resell high-quality, lightly used sofas and sectionals. After constantly helping customers load and deliver furniture, we realized how much our community needed a reliable, friendly pickup and delivery service they could count on.

What began with helping a few people pick up Marketplace finds has grown into a trusted service that handles furniture deliveries, small moves, home rearranging, and anything else you need a hand with. We take pride in being dependable, careful, and easy to work with — treating every customer like a neighbor.

As a family, we’re the heart behind the business. My wife Nicki keeps everything running smoothly behind the scenes, and our two kids are a big part of why we stay motivated every day. This community means everything to us, and we’re committed to showing up with honesty, care, and quality every time.
